Real Estate companies in Brooklyn as well as real estate brokers and agents in Brooklyn who have been following the trend of adaptive reuse of wonderful old properties will find this blog informative.

There is a new owner of the old Romanesque Revival style landmarked 68th Police Precinct Stationhouse and stable located at 4302 4th Avenue.

New owner Josef Streicher has in mind to build 40,000 square feet for Condominium apartments and a child care center. Mr. Streicher paid $6M for the property.

Landmark Preservation Commission approval is necessary for the proposed restoration and adaptive reuse of the property. Several design concepts are currently being reviewed. The developer’s vision is to restore the building to it’s former majestic look. The building was built in 1886 and designed by architect Emile Gruwe.

The Parkway Garage, a wonderful corner 24,000 square foot warehouse and office building located at 5018-5024 4th Avenue has been sold. The sale price is $7.5M.

The building has views of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan will be redone as either residential or office space.

The seller is Congregation Imrie Yehudah and the buyer’s name is not known at this time since the deed is not in City Finance Department records yet.
